It takes a village idiot to think I want the government to raise my child.

The Semiotics of Smoking:
For any enlightened, right-minded gent with an ounce of "common" in his noodle there can be only one reliable way to judge one's fellow man...

The Hypocritical Oath:
The medical profession and the government are very quick to cover up the harm and the deaths that they cause.

HOW TO FIGHT:
The anti-tobacco cartel and its operatives want you to believe that the cause is hopeless: "look around you: smoking bans everywhere.

EPA and Fluoride:
National Federation of Federal Employees Local 2050 is concerned about the scientific basis for the newly authorized Recommended Maximum Contaminant Level (RMCL) for fluoride in drinking water. Our concern is based on the possible impact of the RMCL on our professional reputations.
NTEU:
Since then our opposition to drinking water fluoridation has grown, based on the scientific literature documenting the increasingly out-of-control exposures to fluoride, the lack of benefit to dental health from ingestion of fluoride and the hazards to human health from such ingestion. These hazards include acute toxic hazard, such as to people with impaired kidney function, as well as chronic toxic hazards of gene mutations, cancer, reproductive effects, neurotoxicity, bone pathology and dental fluorosis.
Code of Ethics:
As stated in the NAEP Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice for Environmental Professionals, the "keystone of professional conduct is integrity..." This means that professionals must be responsible for the validity of their work, which must be conducted without "dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation or discrimination." They must not put professional judgment aside in order to twist facts and/or conclusions to give a client, or a superior, a desired outcome. Further, professional integrity does not stop when a report is signed. There is a continuing responsibility for seeing that a report is not misrepresented by others, or altered to change its data or conclusions.

WHO Urges Tobacco Tax Hikes:
The report was rejected by British American Tobacco, which said increased taxes would only lead to more cigarette smuggling and would not stop people smoking.

More Students Smoking Cigars:
A new survey has found that tobacco use by college students is not limited to cigarettes and that more young people are smoking cigars, previously a habit associated mostly with older men.

A Beacon Of Hope In Northern Ireland:
"Courtesy of Choice accommodates the preferences of individuals by offering both smoking and non-smoking areas in the spirit of conviviality and mutual respect."

From The Mailbag:

Al Gore promises that you will be healthy -- healthy at all costs -- if you want to belong to the Health Supremacy Group that already leads the nation, and be a model for the youth of the regime. During an immense antismoking parade organised by major medical and health organisations, and in the presence of over 100,000 health activists aligned in perfectly square ranks, Mr. Goering (oops -- typo: Gore) promised the cleansing of America from the evil tobacco industry, that secretly pulls the strings of American economy, and from its subhuman followers.
