Smokers Rights In Minnesota:
The Big Bad Wolf of anti-tobacco is starting to huff and puff to blow down the door of smokers rights in Minnesota -- and in the process do even more damage to individual liberty and the democratic process in this counrty than has already been accomplished.

Absurdity Reigns Over Tobacco Issue:
By Jon E. Dougherty. The tobacco debate, like many others, needs to be brought back into the realm of reality. Wise people would demand it.

Tobacco War Will Backfire:
It's a drug war disguised as a public health campaign. And, like all the other drug wars being fought in North America, it's an effort doomed to defeat.

Goodbye, Man - it's Miller time on the Strip:
Philip Morris plans to erect a 60-foot, three-dimensional Miller beer bottle, complete with moving lights to simulate bubbles and a top that pops off again and again... The irony of replacing a smoking ad with a drinking ad isn't lost on West Hollywood officials....

Magazines:

Warning Signs Of Violence :
What's really on the rise, though, is what experts are calling "workplace aggression," or "incivility." Acts of workplace aggression usually don't kill or maim, but they do serious damage to the recipient's image, morale and emotional well-being. And such behavior is common.

We Are Everyday People:

The Tobacco Industry Cookbook: (Comedy) A new cookbook just for smokers (and those who are considering taking up the habit), courtesy of the tobacco industry.

From The Mailbag:

Snohomish County, Washington retail stores may again display tobacco products advertisements in windows and sidewalks, applying the principle of a November 1999 rejection by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals of an ad ban by the Tacoma-Pierce County Board of Health. The court had said the Tacoma ban violated a 1969 Federal law prohibiting State and local governments from applying health-based ad prohibitions (Seattle Times)
----------
Hitler, who had no problem throwing bleeding people in wheelchairs, amputees etc out in the freezing cold to have a cigarette, recognized the unique role smokers played in the viability of restaurants.Hitler only banned smoking in Jewish run restaurants completely. In others only women were banned from smoking.I thought Minnesotans lost lives and limbs for freedom from this kind of social-engineering.
